Much More Information...
Pour Ma Gueule (“Por Ma Gull”) is our catchall name for wines that Aaron can’t resist making when some amazing vineyard opportunity comes his way. They are a chance to practice the artistic and playful side of winemaking. They are usually single vintage one-offs and very low production, with the rationale being that between us we could drink it all!
The Pour Ma Gueule 2021 is a Carignan from very old vines in the strange and wonderfully rolling hills of Brentwood. It has the characteristic bright acidity and focused, unique flavors of Carignan made well. The dry-farmed vineyard gave extremely low yield and produced a wine of wonderful drinkability and very low alcohol that gives it great freshness on the palate and makes it a perfect accompaniment to food.
On the nose there are hints of violets, bay leaf, sage, cinnamon, leather, star anise, and cranberry, strawberry and raspberry. . The palate has vibrant and bright fruit, plums, strawberries and cherries. Finishes with good length.
This is a wine to drink in great quantities!
